In Maspeth, NY. I'm right by an inlet. If it wasn't full of NYC water, I'd be tempted to go for a swim. Lol

Jd. They use a treqq unit for your logs your load assignments and communications as well as the gps.

^ T-dog has it right, the trucks have Treqq units installed, running Blue Tree Systems R:COM fleet management software. The GPS is the ALK Techologies "CoPilot" system.

I also think Texashounddog has the correct overview of the training you can expect with TA.

Thank you. I don't think anyone is handling it very well around here right now.
I have two meetings tomorrow and no patience to deal with small town politics.....we will see how that goes...:biggrin_25511:

That has been about the size of it for awhile on the training. I do know that there have been good trainers with TransAm and I am sure there are still a few ....somewhere.... I have known three excellent trainers, all three of them have moved on from TransAm. Wishing you the best of luck as you start out on your own, texashounddog! (Be sure and put in for your request for your first home time when you get your truck)

jdmredneck, ask what you need to know once you get out there with a trainer. If you don't get the answer you need then come back here and ask .....that's where all of the TA experience that is here comes in handy. You know us .....one of us is always ready to give our opinion! :biggrin_25524::biggrin_25519:

Yeah well I think I will become a trainer so that I can be the difference. You can run a truck like a team and still train. I think it will be a good company just need people that care more as coaches. That's the problem. I reported my coach to trans am. For having me on the top bunk sleeping while he drove Which is a big no no and safety issue. I drove at night and had to sleep and he wouldn't let in his bunk even if we were to switch bedding. I sucked it up and dealt with it. Then when I got back I reported it. The problem being though not all will report it. Of the three other student I spoke to all of them experienced the same thing. But none of. Them reported it. TA can't fix what they don't know is broke. And all of us when on the rd don't wanna say anything bc we don't want to prolong getting our own truck or rock the boat and have to go somewhere else. After all we all have put in lots of work to get here. And by this point most of us are broke and needing to make money to send home to family. But I've got my bones now I can get my truck and maybe I can be the difference maker and if I can get a few people through with good training and good treatment then I'll be happy. Anyways turning in for the night excited about truck assignment tomorrow hopefully I can sleep. I most definitely will put in my home time soon as I get my truck. I'm going to be home on the 20. To meet my girls teachers before school starts they start the 25. Yall be good and safe out there. God speed

When I was there and I trained I didn't do team miles. I often refused team loads. I try to aim about 4,000. Cause you can't train if you team. I tried to help.
