So far they are the best company witht the best pay.
They have u complete a drug screen which includes hair follicle, and urine specimen before u even get to orientation. U complete ur dot physical at the same time.
They put u into a decent hotel by yourself. (No roomates)
Orientation starts at 8am sharp and ends at 5pm sharp.
They pay max per diem of $59.00 day for 3days.
Students make .30cpm
Qualifeied driver make .36-.50 depending on experience.
Per diem or not is the question right?
If u dont choose per diem ur making flat pay ? .cpm and thats it.
Choose per diem and u make ?.cpm +$59.00 day.

They have been good to me, glad to see youre enjoying it as well. I dont like the per diem plan, see more money now per say but still can make more money without it in the end. They're not actually paying you $59 a day, they're just keeping that amount from being taxed at the end of the week. Or so that is how I have come to understand it.

Sounds great. Do you have a phone number ?

Amen, I worked there years back. Great Terminals, good trucks, I didnt like the fact that they only run out west was for Teams. I liked it and the customers they have in NYC and surrounding Burroughs was fairly simple. Plus they pay extra per drop and I always made it home when I wanted. No complaints.

That's not how per diem works. You do not get 60$ a day, you don't get anything. What you get is a slightly lower tax withholding on the money you make, because they pay you .2 cents a mile less then whatever you were getting and then you get per diem on a per mile basis, so if you have a light day and don't drive much you don't accrue much per diem. All it actually does it take some of the money you were already making per mile, and call it per diem so you get a barely noticeable increase in the amount you net on your paycheck, because those two cents are then reclassified as per diem and not pay, they're not taxed.
The smart thing to do is say no, file at the end of the yr on your taxes. You can get transportation industry 80% of the standard national conus rate of per diem, @ 80% that's 48.50, and then you get all your per diem regardless of how many miles you drove.
Basically, they push the per diem thing on people like they're helping you and they're not, actually they get tax advantage for that deal not youmrdot Thanks this. -
With 5 days out we were told you get 2 off and with 6 days out its 1.5

When and why did you leave? What medical benefits are offered? -
