This truck driver was initially accused by both witnesses and police for this multiple car accident and fatality. Well, guess what?

LAS VEGAS (KSNV News3LV) -- Eight hours after going through the scene of a five-car crash, Metro investigators say it was Angela Bashay who crashed into a white Nissan, killing a woman.

"I was just traveling along 40-45 mph through a green light and was hit," says Bashay.

However, this morning Bashay told News 3 a different story.

"I remember a very large white truck that hit and I flipped immediately and was dragged down Sunset quite a ways," says Bashay.

She even had a message for the driver of the semi.

"I just hope that he would come forward and for the families of the others involved just to take responsibility for it," says Bashay.

According to Metro Police, after watching video footage from a post office nearby and interviewing other witnesses something didn't match up. Police say the semi truck didn't hit any cars. In fact, investigators believe it was Bashay's gray Honda that rear ended the white Nissan, causing a chain reaction.

Sgt. Richard Strader says, "Initially that driver didn't lie to us, wasn't truthful with us but she back to the scene for an unrelated issue and we interviewed her again and now we know for sure."

Police are going through evidence and phone records to try and figure out how fast Bashay was driving and if she was on her phone and from that they can determine if she will face any charges.

According to Bashay's Facebook page, she works for Clark County School District.

The Clark County coroner's office identified the victim as 39-year-old Christine Robinson of Las Vegas.
