I'm not a recruiter and I'm not looking for a referral bonus. I'm just saying that if you are ready to make a move, check out PTL.
PTL is Employee Owned. Every employee has a financial stake in the company.
You NEVER wait for your next load. As soon as you arrive at your unload, they have your next run waiting for you. Seriously, I have never waited more than 15 minutes for my next load.
If you are happy where you are, stay there. If you are looking to make a move, check out PTL.

I agree with you, scary picture dude. I've been here about 7 weeks and it's a very good fit. I like how I'm treated and how my fleet manager runs me. I only wish their orientation was a bit longer and I wish they had a good driver reference book; there are questions I had coming in as an experienced driver that aren't answered...or I've lost the handout that had the answer.

But I won't be looking for any other company. This is my last one and it's a good one.

I've been off of OTR for close to 4 years now. Did inplant heavy specialized for a while and now I'm local flatbed. Apparently things have changed quite a bit at PTL. I was there for a year and a half and it was a chore. God bless and be safe.

It's still OTR, so if that's not what a driver wants, it wouldn't be a good fit.

It's not that OTR was a bad fit. I was OTR flatbed for 6 years and loved it. I just got tired of frozen tarps, high winds, DOT (more inspections pulling flatbed that van ever came close to), etc. Maybe I just never got the right dispatcher at PTL. Management treated me okay there though. I know that sounds backwards to some but there it is. They took, for me anyway, good care of the trucks but the trailers were for the most part in horrible shape. I ran my proverbial ### off for them and, well, not on here to bash them. If you are getting good equipment, good miles, good pay, and acceptable home time, why go somewhere else? God bless an be safe.

If that about which PTL was directed at me because of the flatbed remarks then I apologise. I didn't mean to be misleading. I got out of flatbed at the time and went to PTL. Sorry about that. Got back into flatbed when I left PTL.

Tell me more about PTL please. Anything and everything. What is their true pet policy? What about having a fridge, microwave and TV in the trucks. Which freightliners and internationals do they use?
