My understanding Choice teams sucks!!!!
TDFair Thanks this. -
Think she meant after costs not net after taxes.. but I'm not sure.
Obviously there's big differences between gross, "after costs/expenses" and net after taxes.
OTR drivers that actually run OTR get a big tax break, I got a refund check from the IRS for last year as a company driver all thanks to me never being home lol. -
Well my total at home expenses comes out to be about $1850.00 a month so after that is collected and all fixed cost on a monthly basis, I plan to have good monthly profits coming in to save even more.

You do realize that has nothing to do with being an otr driver right? It means you had paid to much each week in taxes. The kgb....I mean IRS don't give away money, they only give you back what you think you over paid them for the year. It was an interest free loan that you gave them. Take whatever your refund check was and divide it by 52 and that'll be good much extra you would of had taken home each week last year. But since we are all independent contractors we don't have to worry about that unless we paid to much in quarterly taxes. But that is another post and discussion on how to properly compute your quarterly taxes.

What do you mean it has nothing to do with being an OTR driver?
"Any over-the-road trucker who spends nights away from home qualifies for the daily per diem deduction.
In 2013, the daily per diem is $59, and all over-the-road drivers qualify for an 80 percent deduction of that amount. A driver who spends 300 days on the road should receive a yearly deduction of more than $14,000, according to O’Donnell. In 2014 the per diem remains the same."

a local driver home everyday doesn't get that benefit.
Sure they aren't giving away money but they're taking away less lol.
I was simply implying that OTR drivers get hit less hard with the whole tax illusion. -
