My license was set to expire this past Friday. Kick is I was sent a letter from the DMV which never showed up in my mailbox either because the mailman ####ed up or they didn't send to correct address. I'm equally stressed and infuriated because I found out from a company that was about to hire me and they told me I couldn't start working until I got the matter resolved. I took a safety drivers course one week prior to suspension.
My question is will I be able to have my CDL reinstated and not face a penalty of 60 days because I took the safety driver course even though it was late.
I didn't receive the notice in my mailbox otherwise this would have been done before suspension took place. I need some help if anyone has had the same issue.
I worked hard this year to get all the endorsements plus twic card and I don't want it all go down the waste. Not to mention I have been unemployed for the past 4 months now waiting to be hired

I called DMV and the rep said it was necessary to take a 4hr safety drivers course in order for me to reinstate my license. I have 2 tickets within 3 years and they sent a letter supposedly that I had to take a class. CT's regulations I guess. Both tickets were in a personal vehicle and I don't get why they would disqualify my CDL instead of just saying it's suspended. I'm hoping it's reinstated asap and I don't face a 60 day suspension

In my state Wi once you have met the reason for disqualification ie med card, failure to pay etc you are back in the game as soon as you pay reinstated fee..call your DMV they know. But I agree its a huge notification problem.

Are you gonna make us beat information out of you with every post?
    How serious are these tickets?

    Im cornfused....

I didnt know of a CDL suspension that was under a year

I didnt know 2 tickets in 3 years would matter to dmv

I didnt know you could reinstate a CDL without retesting

I have to show my license everywhere all the time, its usually a gate gaurd somewhere that will tell me "Hey you know your license is about to expire?"
Im not sharp enough to keep track of it, and Ive never seen the letter from MVD, lol

I think suspension and what he's talking about are 2 different things. NY pulled that with me when the new medical rules went into effect. I got it straightened out within 48 hours. Shouldn't take you any longer than what it takes to pay the license fee if that's all your dealing with.

Why are you asking folks this question on the I-net rather than talking to the authority on the matter, ie; DMV in your state? You are wasting time...

I agree, you need to talk with the DMV of your state since every state is different. All tickets count though even in your personal vehicle.
