So did your license expire or get suspended?
From what you have said, Im guessing you needed to take a safety course and the time in which you had to do it expired, therefore your license was suspended? -
Yep his license was suspended because he didn't take a required safety course thag was a result of 2 tickets within a certain time frame ! It's not that the just took your cdl your license is suspended. I'm not sure about your state but some require special insurance and retesting and lots of fines to get it back after a suspension and now you will have to tell future employers bot only about the 2 tickets but also about having a suspended license because it will show on your mvr even after you get it back
-
So you didn't follow a court order to take class, did I get that right?
-
Well, lemme run it all down to ya step by step and we'll figure it out !!!!
Dont make me make you make me -
I have spoken with DMV and they like to play games passing around to different reps but I got it situated. Thanks for the comment just looking to see if anyone else has gone through a similar predicament. Be safe
-
I guess so. The DMV claims to have mailed a letter to my address but I haven't received anything in my mailbox. I assume the mailman didn't even bother to check names on the mailbox or they sent the letter to another address

1 speeding ticket in west Virginia in rental. 1 driving unregistered vehicle and cell phone violation on same ticket it was a quota stop
-
What is a "quota" stop? You only get to help them meet the "quota" if you are doing something wrong, speeding, or in your case talking/texting on a cellular phone.
Now, if you were going 1 MPH over the limit on a sunny day in the middle of an eight lane highway, with perfect sunshine and zero traffic... well, then I might consider that to be a quota stop, but even then that's a stretch.
Also, don't blame the mail man. It is YOUR responsibility to inform the DMV or whoever issues licenses in your state of address updates. Your CDL and any documents pertaining to your CDL should really be going to the same address and one that is current and receiving mail.
As a driver, your health, CDL, and your driving record are your livelihood. The bigger question is, why do I even need to explain that?
unloaderbrowndawg Thanks this. -
I know nothing bout Ct Specific regulations....I do know dealin w/dmv anywhere can be a pita....BUT the best and quickest way to resolve these matters is ALWAYS in person....yes it can suck....yes you're gonna wait in line.....BUT you will get the proper answers&even if the clerk is unsure there are supervisors there who can get the right answer and if you need to do something else they'll let you know....then you do that&go right back to the same Office&see the same clerk or supervisor.....
