I use to see the same guys running lane similar as mine steady basis and back then we were running pretty hard.

My boss had similar philosophy our trucks were old but in great shape, pedal to the metal up and down go go go every weeks...

That's what companies don't understand. They rebuild the drivetrains, and call the truck "good as new". when the interior is ragged, the electrical switches are worn, leaking air lines, etc.

Will after each load you park your truck at the shop and if you tell them there is a problem they fix it. Would you rather be on the road all the time driving a new truck o or be home every weekend and at least once through the week. As well as treated like a human with profit sharing completely paid retirement and completely paid insurance.

At 34cpm start out all pass. There always advertising in my local paper. There a very cheap company. Cheap trucks and cheap pay. They pay local drivers here 10 dollars a hour. So much for respect.

I made more at 34cpm than at 45cpm at melton. Than you add in no cost health insurance. Company store fill I filled the trunk of my Buick with groceries for less than 13 bucks. The profit sharing retirement. I Have Never meet one over there drivers. Making less than 60k plus benefits

Talked to mike welker yesterday got my app put in yesterday. He said it all looked good and get back to him monday so he could run my DAC etc...

My question is how far have they come in the past few years. My grandpa drove for them for years and as far as i remember in 2010 they still werent running qualcomms and ran 9 to 5 dispatch.

    Anything changed?
