I thought so, I still wish they would've made the sleeper with sharper lines to better match the hood.

 

It's still a Star if you look closely at the pictures, and that's a good thing, in my opinion. Same cab as the venerable 4900 series, same Stratosphere sleeper, just new aerodynamic fairings on it. Kudos to Western Star for finally jumping on the aero bandwagon. If nothing else, it ensures that Star owners will be able to get replacement parts for decades to come. In a few years you might see 4900 owners fitting those sleeper fairings to their trucks.

Doesn't need an air-bag, it comes with an ejection seat, LOL !!!

 

There's almost always an airbag in the driver's seat...

I think Daimler's strategy is to mass market the Freightliner brand to the fleets and continue focusing on the smaller operations with the Western Star brand.

 

I have seen your avatar and have been wondering if you have one and what you think about it also
