I just came to the realization that if the team isn't at the yard, I'm stuck because they have my keys. Including my house and car keys.






This just keeps getting better.

 

Hi everybody, Just checking in. This refresher training is really out of hand. While waiting to get a trainer, they had me run local with a driver (for training) . I did all the work all week while he texted and ranted on the phone all day every day. I sucked it up, but I was really pissed. tomorrow I meet my OTR trainer and supposedly go out with her for a week. Then I get my truck. we'll see.

 

Got my deal done. Pulled the knobs at the ranch. Keep the shiny side up!

Well it turns out they are 40 minutes behind us and since my partner had to pick up a pallet to go with his load (it's final is in Nogales, AZ) I told him to drop me off at the Love's where I could grab some lunch while I waited for the team to pick me up.

As I come into the Love's carrying a blanket, pillow, bag and my drink mug, I see some of the drivers looking at me thinking "trainee"!

Phone rings.

Uh.........I've got some bad news. Somebody put the wrong date in the system. We need you to go tomorrow. That load has to be in ecru no later than 2200 tomorrow.

good thing I got on it and took care of most of what I needed to get done at home today.

So much for the plan for a relaxing Sunday.
