CALL HOMELAND SECURITY !
POST a thread naming the company as a bad company to work for as they make you pull illegal loads
IF an owner/operator, blame it on your wife, if not married, blame it on 4wheeler for cutting you off and shifting your load. FIND SOMEONE to blame it on! DO not take this lying down! -
Talk about ironic. I just happen to be watching that exact scene in Black Dog as I type.lots of character said: ↑Get you a cropped ear pit bull put him in the trailer and a black co pilot, and when you roll up at the scales, tell them its toilets. Then have your co pilot call his fed friends and get you cleared.Click to expand...lots of character Thanks this.

The weights were just too close, I HAD to.

If you have APU on truck you are allowed up to 400 lbs over on drive axle in most states.(400lbs over gross also)

Ever hear of scale variation? Because there is no way, unless you operate under different rules of physics than the rest of us, that the weight could come off the drives only.cnsper said: ↑Not true my drives the other day were at 59840 and after driving to Billings from Buffalo, WY they scaled out at 59520 and all the weight came off the drives. Steer and trailer were the same as Sheridan port scale. My tanks sit under the cab.Click to expand...
Now the important question: @PackRatTDI , how far back have you slid the 5th wheel to get the steer so light on a Volvo?
snowwy Thanks this. -
Funny thing about that is the fifth wheel is positioned exactly center over the drives. Same position as in my other truck but the steer weight on my current truck winds up lighter than the other truck. Is the I shift that much lighter than an Eaton ten speed?Hammer166 said: ↑Ever hear of scale variation? How much does a clutch pedal, master cylinder and gearstick weigh?. Has to be lighter by at least that much.PackRatTDI said: ↑Funny thing about that is the fifth wheel is positioned exactly center over the drives. Can't imagine it would be all that much but maybe so.Redtwin said: ↑How much does a clutch pedal, master cylinder and gearstick weigh?. Has to be lighter by at least that much.Click to expand...

MD allows 1000 lbs of tolerance.rayraythetrucker said: ↑most states will give you 500 per axle anyway. i would run with it. but curiosity ? why fuel before you scale ?Click to expand...
I'd run it too, with a mental note to move the fifth wheel up one more hole.
Then, he'd never have to touch it again.
