I'm looking to get the he'll out of the oilfield. I like driving though, and would much prefer a driving job to a cubicle. I have 3 small kids and a wife I don't want to leave for days at a time.

Any companies on Colorado with a good reputation and seeking local drivers?

Any region of Colorado can be a fairly expansive area. Can you give us an idea of a city, so we can narrow it down a bit? Kinda pointless to suggest companies in Denver if it would end up being a two hour commute either way for you.

Check out American building supply. It's local LTL curtain van work. (Easy as hell though) I worked for the Sacramento company and loved it great people great pay great benefits 401k paid vacation holidays, weekends off and everything you need just ask they get it for you also assigned trucks so you're not always driving in someone else's filth if you're a neat freak like my self when it comes to a clean cab. Only thing is early hours depending on your route yor could start as early as 2am or as. Late at 6am. Once you get use to it it's not so bad.

There is lots of companies for food distribution paying about 1000.00 a wk. but WARNING.. be careful of the small companies across the front range area... they are playing the gray areas of the law and you might not get a paycheck or reimbursement for truck repairs or fuel... always keep you a copy of everything from logs to DVIRs and always get in writing your amount per hour / per mile. read the laws for CDL drivers for wage and hour...these laws are different than a standard per hour employee...Companies like Mclane or FSA or drivers for Safeway, King Soopers, etc are reputable...

Yeah, which is why I was wondering where he thought King Soopers would be hiring drivers. Btw, didn't Domenico lose that contract? I see their trucks pulling Safeway trailers, but I haven't seen them with a King Soopers/City Market trailer in quite a while.
