    Most states have reciprocity in that transferring a CDL is a matter of taking the eye exam and having a new photo taken. As already posted........IL is under a cloud; being penalized (by the feds you want to get your universal license from) for acting bad. You coulda picked dang near any other state to have a GF in and this would be a moot point........I too am an honest workin' man and DO NOT WANT THE FEDS INVOLVED ANY MORE THAN THEY ALREADY ARE.

    I wonder if they are going to tighten the screws in California after that recent scandal. Just moved to Texas from PA, painless. Do not want any more Federal involvement in my life, maybe President Trump will back the regulation strangulation down a few notches.
