Boy what would you say about the man that bought the 88 International I was running in 97 that the Boss Overhauled into a 850 HP Monster of a Cummins Engine. Yes I put her on a Dyno to Prove that number the Freaking DYNO BROKE at 720 with Fuel Pressure to Spare on the Engine. He has left her setup the Same as we had her for the now 17 Years he has owned that truck. He has put on another 1.5 Million Miles on that engine in that time putting that 444 Engine at over 2.5 Million total on her Original Block and Crank Transmission is Still the Same the only thing new in the Driveline is the Rear Ends that got changed over 1.5 Million ago when they came apart on me in Des Monies. What does he haul with the old Girl anything and everything his 400 Head of cattle Farm Needs moved from the Cows to the Packing house to 48 K of Grain out of the Fields to Liquid Manure to the fields. He has said if she ever needs a Overhaul he will give her another one. BTW this man still has a 62 Emeryville Cabover in his fleet.

At this rate , I can go with a 2007 Pete 387 with a 475 Acert with just over 600K on the clock . This includes a 1 year / unlimited mile warranty on engine , trans and rears . 13 speed , 3:55 rears and a working TK APU . It makes more sense .

Hi slomofo, well, be advised , a truck with 600K might actually be worse than the million mile one. Stuff that didn't need repair at 450K, will start showing up at 600K. I don't mean to scare you, but that's the way it is. Most million mile trucks, as stated before, have had EVERYTHING replaced, twice even, so I'd look over a 600K mile truck even more. Many companies dump those 1/2 million mile trucks, because they know it's going to be a money pit. Good luck.

Semi , thank you . I only wish the man trying to sell me this truck had paperwork on an engine rebuild . I plan on getting oil samples sent out to Blackstone for analysis and I will not make any decisions pending positive results from the lab .

Hi slomofo, don't be dismayed, there are PLENTY of trucks out there. I feel, the best way to get a used truck, is buy it directly from the owner who is retiring, or updating. They can usually tell you everything they did to it.

The 6NZ is very popular for Glider Kits and the fact it was built before 2000 prior to DPF's were required should command top dollar if your buying or selling one !

Currently have a 3406 in a 1986 Freightliner with 1.5 million, no signs up letting up. Wonder if I have the oldest working Freightshaker on earth? Lol.
