If your question is directed at me td graham yes I work for Melton one of their driver trainers. The pay is pretty good actually I average approx 800 to 1000 per week and yes we do run to NYC but it's not frequent and Canada is optional but we are paid if we have to make a drop in any of the boroughs of NYC can't remember how much it is though

How do they allow you to setup hometime? I understand they said 7 days out is 1 day home so if i run 2 weeks straight then say every 7 days i want to be home can i set it up that way? Also is nyc forced thats my main concern. Other than that seems like a good fit. Also this is my first time using an apu. Does it really keep you cool in summer and warm in winter? And emergencys at home if one occured would they try get you in?

Yes it's 1 day at home for every seven days out not really sure I understand the second part of your home time question and yes if you get a load going to NYC you have to take it but loads delivering into a borough of NYC are very rare on occasion we may go thru NYC on the interstate but again that's pretty rare really the northeast isn't in Meltons running area but that's not to say we don't take loads there when needed and yes if there is an emergency at home Melton will do everything possible to get you home up to and including flying you home then flying you back to the truck once the situation is resolved and as for the apu they do pretty good at keeping you cool in the summer and warm in the winter all Melton trucks also have an inverter so you can run your stuff ie microwave and etc the new 680s even come speced with a refrigerator

I have to make a decision by end of today either cypress truck lines garentee how weekly and 40.00 miles plus cheaper tarp pay....or melton i just dont wanna be gone 2 months at time ive heard some drivers say they cant get them home idk how true thay is also i had a bad experience with the northeast (ny n jersey) so not really too interested in that area but melton sounds excellant hands down but 7 days for 1 day thats fine my main concern is when i request a day id like to get it and nyc haha *shakes my head*

I've never had a problem getting home they've always gotten me home when I requested if not early as for the NE it sucks but really it is what it is as long as you keep your head on the swivel and pay attention the NE isn't really any different than any other place just got give it it's due diligence. Where is home btw

I was doing nearly that with Maverick well over ten years ago. That was in my first few months and I was not training. Plus, I was home most weekends.
