Any current Werner drivers?

A werner driver just got knifed to death by a Trainee so maybe that explains some things?

 

My stepson said when his trainer dropped him off at Dallas he was very careful who he associated with.

 

I am going thru Road master driving school in Bethlehem pa. I have to go thru Werner according to the school.i am not liking what I see

 

Why do you have to work for Werner? There's dozens of companies that hire from Roadmaster. A few schools such as Roadmaster try to force students to work for Werner, Schneider, US Express and Swift.

Submit some applications; you can submit applications during the first week of CDL school.

Submit applications to several companies you like. Don't even mention it to the school, just do it on your private computer. Set up an orientation date with the company you choose, then tell Roadmaster nothing.

The school maybe getting a kickback from the big W. It is mind boggling how many liars are in this industry.

I know the school I went to got a kick back from a ton of schools. The company I eventually went to was not one on that list. I will not be reimbursed for my tuition which I have paid back and turning in on taxes etc. However I love it here and don't see leaving here. Tuition reimbursement and school "supported" companies should be at the top of the not try first off list. I realized that reimbursement etc. was just not important enough to choose who I went to work forl

What? For a big company Werner has been fair to me the 3 months I've been here. I got a royal blue freightliner like i wanted, i got on the account I wanted, the few minor breakdowns my truck or trailer have had have been repaired in a timely manner. Oh wait, when i was training i ran 600 miles a night, i had a non preventable in new Mexico that i was not cited for, and i haven't torn their equipment up. Do your job, Omaha leaves you alone. The dollar tree account is paying good money ( I've done a pup and a 53' trailer since Thursday and made $600 already ) but again i did my job. They sent me to one of the hardest stores near my house with a pup and i didn't destroy the truck, a civilian, or property. I'm starting to notice the people who ##### have no work ethic and lack common sense. That goes for most of these big companies. Plus werner is paying back my school at $100 a month, i have weekends off, and i get medical dental vision for less than $40 a week. Could things be better sure. Like drivers reporting broken equipment etc. You can go to Schneider and burn your brakes up on the cabbage patch in an automatic because the disabled the jakes and manual mode and go 62 mph. You could go to Western express and tie up fuel pumps for an hour and run no miles. You could go to swift and just hit everything in plain site. Find what works best for you. And yes, roadmaster is feeding werner to drivers. You notice roadmaster equipment is some of werner's old fleet?
