And that was when Freightshakers were a very good truck . I drove a few FLC models and more FLA's . Used truck dealer in Illinois ( Appell ? ) has a good looking 1985 FLA with a four and a quarter B model . 240 inch wheelbase . Looks clean and he's asking $15 large for it . Maybe I am crazy but I miss cabovers ...

I think my first boss the man that bought that 88 IH has you beat. He has a 69 White Freightliner Cabover that you has a rubber block Hendrickson suspension underneath it. It is used to haul Big Red his 60 ton 8 wheel tractor to and from the fields and to the shop. He has put a Frankenstein driveline of get this a CAT 1694 yes it does have a V8 Kitty mated to a 18 speed manual with a 4 speed auxiliary and a set of 4.93 rears. Sucker in low low would stop a tank from moving forward.

Wonder why they left the a box in it when they put in the 18? Or did it at some point have a winch or something run off the auxillary? Would sure love to see some pics of it, and the 88 also.

Fully Loaded on his trailer Big Red weighs in at over 150K lets just say that it can Plow more land in a day than most new tractors can in a week. This man farms close to 20 Thousand Acres in IL and using Red he can have them all ready in less than 1 Week for everything. It took us longer to Harvest at close to a Month with GOOD weather than to Plant. Red can pull 3 30 Row Planters at one time behind him. That should give you an Idea of how Massive of a Pass he makes.
