I have my boss my 2 weeks notice from an oilfield company in Wyoming and now he is saying he will not pay me until I deliver the truck to him in Utah. I offered to deliver it to him for my regular pay for the drive there and he buys the bus ticket and pays my per-diem ($135) for the day back. He said he would pay the first day and I had to get my own ticket back. I said I would drop the per-diem but I wasn't paying for the $125 ticket back.
Home Terminal on my logs is Cheyenne Wy where the truck is sitting so it's not abandoned, told him he can "shove a W900 up his ###!" 1st call Monday morning will be to the labor board and a lawyer.
Oh! The reason I quit in the first place was he decided he didn't make enough pay per hour so he decided he wasn't going to pay me for 10 hours (theft). He also refuses to give me paystubs which he is required to do in Wyoming.

G.Anthony, truckon and Leon Phelps III Thank this. -
I have made several offers to give it back. I just asked him to pay me to do so and to buy my ticket back. I don't work for free and I suspect you don't either. I'm certainly not paying to take it to him.bottomdumpin, pattyj and Chinatown Thank this.

....for a profit.

Just my regular wage for 1 of 2 days. I was willing to eat the second day's pay.

I'm not saying i disagree with you or don't sympathize with your situation. We've all been dealt some blows.
Lotta shady oilfield characters. I've been there too.
Noone wants to ride a dog from wy to ut, but sometimes it's not worth the fight... at least you said he's offering to pay you something right? -
Yes but half of what he would pay me would be eaten up by the ticket home. I'm already out 10 hours from last month that he refused to pay me for, I don't trust him to even pay me correctly on what he already owes me for this month.

I dunno man, that's my advise....
Take it back and eat the loss.
