Rest Area Shake Downs

Arizona and New Mexico can be real jerks; go so far as to measure the length of mudflaps and if they're even 1/2" too short it's something like $150.00 fine

 

I think all the rest areas in AZ have been modified for checkpoints now. Digital signs, AND infrared and cameras. Along with signs that say TRUCKS USE RIGHT LANE

If they aren't modified, it probably won't be long before they are.

I had this sexy little chick working inside the NM POE Lordsburg acting real cool with me as I paid for my permit.

She asked how long I've been driving and I replied about 3 years.

This ##### immediately started yelling on some just blacked out Norman Bates #### asking to see my log book.

So I told her to "calm the #### down and stop yelling, whats wrong with you, you are not fit to serve".

Went and got my log book and came back inside to 4 NM public safety.

I walked in a immediately thanked the officer for being there because I felt unsafe around that chick, she just blacked out on me. They said we are here for you. I told them "Im not going to do anything and neither are you"

The officer reached out and grab my log book and I snached it back. Opened it up and counted 8 days. "Here, that's all you get"

Inspected my loggs, gave me my permit and then the chick smiles and says "Thank you have a great day"
And I said "I WILL, AND I HOPE YOU DONT" and walked out.

Yea, You'll see me in the left lane cruising along side one of those douch bags from hobby lobby!!

 

Those DOT officers are on a huge power trip. Give them a gun and a badge and they rule the universe. The way they treat working class Americans makes them nothing but domestic terrorists.
You made the right decision with the log book because they will go over every page you let them have even if it's two months worth.

All immigrants in general crack me up when they get angry and start cursing.

Spanish and Eastern European probably are the most entertaining to listen to while they are angry and cursing.

Spanish because they sound like they are going 1 million miles per hour, blasting off and there is no getting any kind of word in edge wise. You may as well just sit calmly until he/she has said what they need to get off their chest.

Eastern Euro,.. well just look at all the crazy Russian accident videos on YouTube. That ish just cracks me up. My carrier is Lithuanian and he speaks pretty good english except when he is angry or upset. He'll be on the phone with me and the accent starts getting bad as he is rambling to me. I tease him and say "English,.. M,F'r,.. speak English!!" Then he gets really upset and with a really thick accent he yells back,.. "My ##### english is perfect".

Universally I think all countries first American word is the F bomb.

there is a rest area i drive by often that is used as truck inspection. they put up signs on the road instructing all trucks to pull in there normally be 2 sometimes 3 dot officers doing truck inspections. i have not yet been inspected there yet. after you pull in they have signage saying to keep going unless you are signaled to stop. so far i always roll in and roll right back out onto the highway.

 

Simple solution. Just stay away from rest areas in Ohio. Since they started that crap, I only park on private property or get the heck out of Ohio before I stop.
