I'm not looking to get out 25 miles more like 5 I have a cobra 29 lx with stock fire sticks and stock coax replacing coax ain't much of an option as I would have to pull out half the interiot of the truck also radio isn't peaked or tuned swr is tuned by me up professionally using the digital read out off radio also I have 2 Wilson 5000s? (Maybe) but on the truck end it's a male end is there an adapter for male to male? Also I drive a 2015 peterbilt 587 antenna mounts on side of sleeper

I'm no expert, but a quality mic, a quality 18' length of un coiled coax and a tune from a good shop will do wonders

Use a mount on the back of the cab, ground the mount to the frame and tuck that coax driver. Where there's a will there's a way. Don't worry about it being perfect or ripping out the interior to do a professional install unless it's your truck.

I ended up in Miami and got the cb shop at the 595 truck stop to work on it, ran coax (from passenger mirror) and a 5 foot firestick tiled at around 45 degrees to the radio peaked and tuned he said he was getting 27 watts out of my radio... not sure if that's good or bad. I'm running a cobra 29 don't know what kinda coax or antenna, but if need be I can re run coax since I saw what he did.
