(smiling) Man that's just wrong. I'm going to pretend I didn't read that. I'm also going to pray for you tonight.

I was in the U.S. Navy for 8 years. As difficult as it was for me in the navy, I have had both civilian bosses and co-workers who were much more difficult to deal with. People can be mean, regardless of station in life.
Regardless of age, sex, race, religion, color, creed, nationality, foreign ancestry, or socioeconomic status, one can be either treated equally well or equally thrown under the bus.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

I was, The Marine Corps in fact. But I won't stand for someone talking to me like I'm still in either.

I had a supervisor in a previous line of work who was a retired Marine Gunnery Sergeant and never let people forget it. One day he was roaring at me on the phone (that's how he did it the most) and concluding his reprimand asked me "Do you understand me?!!!" I replied "Alright, Smith" I nearly laughed out loud when I heard him start to correct me with "Gunny Smi......"

PS he was a drunk and a bully and eventually got fired for sexual harassment.

I have found in the last 2 1/2 decades (non truck driving jobs) that the workplace is becoming more abusive and coarse. The sociopaths are winning.

The way you sound...you would not make it in the military.i started there ...24 yrs ago after i was discharged from the Navy, but have (like most drivers that have been out here a few week ends) bounced around a bit,but i have to agree there are some winners out there..sorry you had such a bad experience but remember, the big box companies are training grounds for the most part...good luck to you

A "real" Marine? You mean there are "fake" Marines?
