Apu troubles

    Nice when they work. Nightmare when they don't. Problem is ac is temperamental. It's an older hp2000. I would like to take ac compresser off and install a generator head that will power a roof top ac unit. Anyone ever done this before. Is there a shop that could do it. If yall have any ideas let me know. Thanks

    I have seen this done a few times. I know of two smaller shops that would be able to do some custom work like this and treat you better than any crappy Rush shop or something would. Cantwell Power in Fort Worth and AC & R Enterprises in the Chicago/Milwaukee area. They do everything diesel engines, apu type of stuff and pretty much anything you can think of.

    I had a Thermo King APU, it was good while it worked, but when it didn't, would drive me crazy, getting too hot or too cold, until about a month ago, had it taken off a previous truck I had, and sold the unit.

    I'm back in the market for another APU.....lol....think going to try Rigmaster next. Or maybe the Thermo King Evolution. Anybody any thoughts on either APU's??
