Hey don't knock it, apparently he got all the way through it, rather than being stuck IN it!

You're absolutely right I'm sure there were signs everywhere, including the trucking atlas. I was referring to in the article when it said road crews were working on the bridge. I would think since they're working on it anyways the might as well make sure something like this doesn't happen again. The old fool me once shame on... You can't get fooled again!

Everybody knows this is could have been easily prevented by letting all the air out of your seat before going under....... I mean duh!!!

LOL, I remember what knucklehead said that.AlexFromMD Thanks this.

All of you on here mocking the driver, perhaps get a little more informed before you accuse folks......
It says right in the story that he/she was hauling plants. The quick thinking and industrious driver saved their load! During their 30-minute break, they noticed the plants were all drying out, so his/her quick thinking and a chance rain storm saved the shipper from losing potentially hundreds of dollars!!!

Had a truck driving friend that hit a low underpass once, he was 13' 6", the underpass was marked 13' 8", but it was really 13' 4". He said he came to a very quick stop.
-
How did that turn out for him? Did the powers that be admit they screwed up and compensate him for damages?
-
Yes, they admitted the mistake when he got a good lawyer, yet not before. If memory serves me right, it happened in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, I believe it was his 1st trip up there.
