This company is the worst and preys on new uninformed drivers. The promise 350 a week during training but, they try to keep you in training as long as they can. They run you ragged try to force you into making log violations, rarely send you home and find reasons not to pay you at all.

Why would they "try to force you into making log violations"? This makes no sense. And can you perhaps define and elaborate on "rarely send you home" so others can have some better perspective.
And I would hope they'd keep a driver in "training" as long as it took until such time as said driver proved they had became proficient in all the various aspects of trucking. But if you've became quite proficient and your trainer feels this way too, and they won't cut you lose, then that might be a problem.snowlauncher, Ougigoug, Voodoo Pyg and 2 others Thank this. -
Ya I was curious about what kind of log violations? Are'nt Stevens on ELOGS?Perhaps op you're not familer with the hours of service and just thought they were trying to force you into log violations.

I am familiar with how they operate they say that their number one goal is safety but, then they try to get the truckers to run "a little over" their hours but, don't take my word for it look it up yourself. I just noticed Stevens transport warning listed and it's a truly horrible company.

They do have nice equipment. You're going to find out thruout your carreer dispatch will want you to run up to almost your last minute of your available hrs which will more then likely cause you to be in violation which you then go to logs if it starts to get out of hand after telling your dispatcher how its going to be because you're the one driving and incontrol of your logs.Never let them intimidate you into doing anything you feel could be an unsafe act.White_Knuckle_Newbie, MidwestResident, Starboyjim and 1 other person Thank this.

I
Mean my husband was hired in Dec. I didn't see him again until the last day of march. He was promised every 6 weeks that never happened and my liver was failing at the time. I guess I worded it wrong about log violations they repeatedly put you in a position where you will have a log violation. As far as training, I guess that would be the cool if it were actually to train employees instead of keeping them earning 350 a week.MidwestResident Thanks this. -
Is this driver in his own truck during any part of this Dec-Mar time period or is it all "with trainer(s)"?
MidwestResident Thanks this. -
I get not everyone has had a bad experience with them but, including the trainer my husband had everyone he worked with now works elsewhere.
MidwestResident Thanks this. -
Don't drive for a company that says they'll get you home every 6 weeks, most carriers say like every 14 days which is still no guarantee you'll be home then but at least he'll be home every month.
MidwestResident and Cory Portenier Thank this. -
No, only 6 weeks of that time is with a trainerMidwestResident Thanks this.
