I was in Indianapolis there was 2.5 days left on it for on time delivery.
They sent a team to pick up a 300 mile load that had plenty of time to pick and deliver.
It was still there this morning waiting to be picked up.
They say it was on the board from 1139 pm until 1217 for a total 12 hrs and 38 minutes.
It was put back on board Wednesday night and assigned to a company team Thursday at 1217.
When support shift took it off me and relayed it she told me they were assigning it to a company truck since she had talked to the planners already.
It's all good they made more money off of me. It is what it ain't -
There are just some on here that NO MATTER what SNI does they can find a way to justify it to them selves.
I try and tell it exactly like it is and y'all make your decisions from that.
I will praise as well as criticize Sni as I feel is needed.
Bottom line is I'm ok here as of now.mickimause, HeWhoMustNotBeNamed, Dogals right foot and 1 other person Thank this. -
Im not praising SNI at all. Im just telling it how it is. Ive had it done to me a couple times. Did i complain about it? No. If you were a guy with his own authority, you would be paying close to 12-1500 (maybe more) for someone to deliver your freight and bring the trailer back to you.TennMan Thanks this.

It would be very interesting to see what LOGISTICS would do to a O/O vs an I/C. While I understand Schneider has a cost in this they also have a partner in TenMan for many years...will this "break" TenMan ...NO bit it sucks...there is no winners in this fight...period...
Be Safe Out There
Captain DaveTennMan and mickimause Thank this. -
Hmm here's an idea..Wonder how it would work if the company driver got charged something, or CS gets so much taken out of their pay when they screw up..Make everyone accountable. I know it is what it is, they told us we could get charged if we break down, but I still don't agree with it. That's just me.
RStewart, popcorn169, Pork Chop Express and 3 others Thank this. -
I understand the charge..
Doesn't mean it is right or that I agree.
As I said I was in Indianapolis so it's not like I was in theidle of nowhere.
They had plenty of time on load. At 10 am Friday it still sat there.
It should be a case by case issue JUST LIKE THEY SAY THE 250 REPOSITIONING FEE WILL BE. So who wants to bet it won't be case by case eventually.
I'm good I'm home I'll go back when it's done and I'll move on BUT I still think it's BS.Drifter42 Thanks this. -
Glad to see your home..relax and enjoy some of that sunkiss 'shine you have stocked away.
Keep bugging the KW dealer..sometimes you have to light a fire.
As for SNI..no comment.
I understand why they do somethings..other times I just scratch my head.
Either way I'm planning my exit strategy..Last edited: Sep 19, 2015

Welcome to the world of being an IC.... Company drivers and CS are company employees... They follow a different set of rules and regulations..
Bye the way, Independent O/O have very little backup to complete their contract.. A customer still wants his freight and does not care about your problems, so it is up to you to find a way to fix the problem..
At least, Schneider did have it spelled out in the contract YOU signed.. -
I do know that it's in the contract that I signed. I'm not debating that part at all, I'm just saying that was just one part that I really don't agree with is all. I'm just saying that there can be improvements all the way around. I agree that the customer wants their freight no matter what, but a truck breaking down is just a piece of that puzzle. CS screws up multiple times on a daily basis, but are not held accountable for it. They are also a piece of the puzzle in getting the freight picked up and delivered in a timely manner. So it's not just not up to the IC's in general to find a way to fix the problem, it's just the fact that #### does in fact roll downhill. I guess it's all part of being contracted to a mega carrier I guess.trucker8806 Thanks this.
