Well OUGIGOUG, Princess owes you an apology and is sorry that she blew up then! Lol ;) ...on the other hand... I redirect my comment to "Dinomite" the one that is such a "man" & busy giving people advice on how to be a man when he doesn't even know how to spell Dynamite correctly. Bet he is busy growing hair on those Amarillo sun dried kahunahs as we speak! Lol :D Well I'm out for now. Gonna keep on fighting the good fight to keep cool until I have an APU. :)

No worries i am just like you, i don't know why a drivers would have to live in a truck under harsh conditions while office staff are working with A/C etc etc etc

Thank you for accepting my apology :) btw, yesterday I was driving through Iowa and I had to laugh. I saw several HUGE illuminated road signs that read, "Nobody Puts Baby in a Hot Car" ...then princess got p!$$ed off! Lol I thought to myself. No, just us truckers! Then pondered about the amount of energy wasted day in and day out to bring that stupid (although true) message to the motoring public...but a trucker can't idle due to the harm it causes the environment? Sounds like a double standard to me.. ...

    Ougigoug Thanks this.

Princess, for some reason some of your posts end up in my feed. But always seem to crack me up.

Perhaps it's the 3rd person style. Does the princess speak like that on the radio as well?

I remember we had that constant fight with Roman, the fuel department head at Stevens Transport when I worked there.

We would say, if you don't want us to run the truck for air conditioning at night when we sleep, then turn yours off at home. He never had a good response to that.

It's understandable to idle when it's hot or cold but I've noticed many drivers would idle when it's around 60 degrees outside. Just last week I stopped at the rest area in IL and it was 68 degrees, and all trucks were idling. Not only it creates noise, but also pollutes the air. Why not just open windows? Fresh air is always better.

Maybe the window screens are missing and they don't want bugs in the truck. Maybe the truck is having starting problems and hes just trying to limp it back to his favorit shop. Admiditly this is the pot calling the kettle black by why don't we all stop judging each other.

Fresh air is good,as long as it's not urine scented.
