Do anyone know how much Landstar or Mercer charge their owner operators for this situation? Or do they charge at all?
-
And company drivers are told to limit the need for relaying because "it costs $100 to relay a load"mickimause and PoleCrusher Thank this.

Do you still get the full pay for the load ?? Or % for what's been done?

Talked with kenworth they got truck running went on a test ride and it quit on them...... I better not be charged another tow bill.
I asked what is next step now and they say the engineering group is diagnosing the trUck.
I have a bad feeling all the sudden... -
Dang man, that sucks. I have a friend who had a new KW and it ran well for the first couple of months then all of a sudden it started doing exactly what yours is doing now. He was in and out of the shop every other week. After a couple months of that he walked away from the truck and lease and went to a different truck. I forget what the "engineering group" came up with as the problem finally but it took them about 2 months or so to figure it out after he turned the truck back in.
I have a question I want to pose to you and some of the long tem IC guys. With the deadline of the new contract approaching fast, have any of you thought about just getting your own authority and trailer? What I was thinking is what if one of you got your own authority and then some of your fellow IC drivers who have been at SNI for awhile ran under that authority together. It would be pooling resources and all but also remove the headache of this stupid contract. It's a random thought i know but just wanted to put the question out there.
One of my back up plans would be to get my own authority and trailer if this new contract screws me out of money.
Thanks!Home_on_wheels and TennMan Thank this. -
