I have a 2014 630 that has the Webasto bunk heater and it makes a ticking sound about every second or every two seconds. It drives me crazy. Is it the fuel pump? The unit is mounted right under the bed. I bought a fan to run as white noise but it doesn't block out the clicking noise. Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions on how to deal with this?

Yes, the fuel pump does exactly that, it will click faster if you crank up the heat. I don't know if it's the new and improved pump, or just how it's mounted. The older ones clicked, but it was much quieter.

Correct uncleal13. It does click faster when the heat is cranked up. Frustrating.

Most people don't notice it much, but I've seen a few light sleepers that would be driven crazy by the noise. What they did is take some thick foam, like a piece of hot water pipe insulation from menards, or even one of those pool noodles the kids use that they have at the dollar store, and they insulated themselves from the noise by zip tying the foam around the pump. It deadens the noise quite a bit.

It's pretty cheap and easy. Hope this helps.

My 05' did it as well as this '12, you get used to it. Actually when it stops clicking is when it wakes me up, it will do that depending on what temp you have it set at, it goes into a sleep mode until the temp demands heat.

Thank you for your help drivers. I found the fuel pump today. It's bolted to the frame with a metal bracket. I disconnected the bracket from the frame and had no noise. I'm going to try some of that foam like the pool noodles or maybe a piece of mudflap, or whatever, but it will be much better now.
