When I was in CA at the Loves in San Diego I would have loved to see CARB there. At the time I had been idling my truck all night. My APU wasn't working. When I start up in the morning and take off after idling so long I create a smoke screen that can stop traffic. I had a 3 day permit though.

Your APU wasn't legal anyway. After essentially making a bunch of fleets buy APUs, CARB discovered that those unregulated engines polluted more than an idling truck!

Now your APU must have a dpf -- showing again how CARB is such a business-unfriendly bureaucracy...

thats way some cali truck owners put generators and household a/c units in the trucks. Carb certified APU is another headache ..

ohh c'mon Doc Hoof. How many present of owner operators access or post in this forum? 0.001% maybe. do you want to see persons who got tickets ? come to my house and I will call them too. Ice cold beer on me. One small fleet owner who I know personally got a ticket and that ticket is posted on CARB site. Not all CARB issued tickets are posted on CARB web site I guess.

Can't wait till all that produce rots out there in the fields because they can't find trucks to haul it

Heard a news clip l. It's been good for almond growers but the future is uncertain for farmers .. California has tapped into prehistoric water. It can't be replaced. Talk of putting meters on wells with a cap on how much water one can use.
