Chromedome, dragonmatrix would like to know if you are at the slc terminal
-
I am at the Days Inn in Atlanta lol.
I dropped my load, went to terminal in Conley.
Got the number for the hotel in town Central uses, called and the shuttle brought me here.
Got a loooooong hot shower, nice bed, and a shuttle ride to the airport in the morning, heading to Maderia Beach to my parents winter house. For a week in the fun and sun.
I will be back in Conley next Saturday and ready to roll for another year.
I only took more than 3 days off in a month 2 times all year. Now that the first year is done it was time to take my weeks paid vacation.
Also, I don't go to Salt Lake anymore. I am mostly East. An occasional run to Dallas, but mostly. NY, PA, MA, IL, IN, ID, MO, GA, VA, SC, NC ect..... you get the idea.
It is basically considered to be North East regional. Mostly from PA and NY to IL and MO. But it pays better than full over the road. I get .38 a mile base rate and an extra .01 for productivity. And when I can .01 for low Idle.
I also just finished my year for the Safe driver thing. I get another 500 bonus and a Jacket. I have held out for the jacket, I don't own a single article of clothing with Central on it. -
How you doin' ChromeDome? I presume you don't get home much? Or you live in the truck? How are you able to do that, live in the trcuk?
-
You should have said G'DAY
Were we parked on the Road? We hardly ever have the CB going I get sick of hearing the guys argue on there like six year olds who Cuss.

I am going to have to win more then that to pay the overweight Ticket we got in Maryland
, To make a long story short 30,000lb load we didn't scale thought we would save the $8.50 on a scale ticket! first time we haven't Scaled, 36,000 and some change on one of the axels..........JJ was peeved with himself to put it mildly and even more Peeved with the state of Maryland.......That $8.50 ended up costing $121.00. So to all you new Guys ALWAYS scale.

Hey LastKid, Yep I have thought about going to the Central School BUT I am so directionally challenged I thought it would be better for me to go to the School just down the road from me, I know my way around there and I would probably have got some more one on one there......and not have 3 other students Gawk over my shoulder as im crunching the gears, getting lost on Rookie road lol.
When we were loading at Joppa MD we seen a Black Freight shaker an old dick Simons skunk truck there, the guy was really nice and polite I can't remember what the truck # was I will ask JJ in the morning.
I think my Avatar is better at directions then me
-
The last few nights have been great no idling in the truck........buts that's the only good thing about MD the cooler nights .
Anyway I had better get some sleep 4:00am comes around really fast
