There are all aluminum 48 flats and combo steel/wood. There is usually a waiting list for the all aluminum flats……they are $180 a week.

If you are going to work the board at Landstar you will go broke. 65% of the agents are re-booking loads from other brokers and the agents are the only one's making money. I worked the board for two weeks an only brought home 1600.00 and went from Chicago IL to Tempe AZ and back though Atlanta GA. You will pay all kinds of fee's and insurance that can cost you over $200.00 a week. Don't be leave that Landstar is one big family they traing 200 drivers every week 42 week a year to replace the ones that are leaving. Thats 8400 trucks a year that leave.
We have 8231 truck working with Landstar today. -
Landstar doesn't train any drivers…….

THAT WHAT I WAS THINKING

Your doing it wrong then. I only use the load board(van) and havent netted less than $2000 in a week since I joined LS 18 months ago. Most weeks are $2500-3000 and I havent been forced to do a 34hr reset yet. Did get in a few resets over a long weekend just because, but i didnt need to. I never drive over 60mph unless its downhill, so its not like im out here tearing it up either.azcardnlz and Hegemeister Thank this.

9400 trucks is the actual number, up over 600 trucks from last year. There will always be churn, it's inevitable in trucking. The thing about Landstar is that you can only blame yourself for taking crap paying freight or going to bad areas. Bad areas are pretty universal throughout trucking, rarely are they carrier specific.
