By bypass you mean they were closed? Ct doesn't use EZ PASS. Danbury, and the 95 north scale by exit 2 are known to write that ticket. The 84 scale relies on the first scale so heavily that if your weight is good you most likely won't get pulled in to the big scale for being over length. The 691 scale and the scales on 95 near New London tend to not notice over length.

there is a scale now on I-691..??????

here is a good map for K/pin to axle

No they scale the truck in motion when you pull in if they want a more accurate weight they throw you to the scale house and you get weighed stationary. If not they give you the bypass and you get back on 95 north they also have it on 84 south from mass. The 2 other scales on 95 and the ones on 84 and 91 north are all stationary scales. Ez pass is for tolls not to bypass scales.

I misspoke. I meant on 91 just north of 691. Also meant Prepass. My Ez Pass has both.

yeah, i had scrambled to find any new scales. i did see the scale just north of 691, and figured later, that you meant that one.

Every company I ever drove for gave us a handout with all of the states bridge law settings. Most of our trailers also has colored marks that were referenced on the handout. If I was going through a tough state I made sure I was legal weight wise at the correct setting by looking at this handout. This can be a little bit daunting to greenhorns, but give time and experience it will become simple for you to figure out.
