Here is the plugs I took apart for the ABS TCS lights that kept lighting on my dash when I hit some water, I did what wizzy said, took a part the plugs in question and clean the connection with electric wash and put it all back together with electric grease. So far so good, no lights when I hit puddle or a small lake.
Thanks WIZZYJTRUK and TheEnglishMan Thank this. -
Glad I found this thread, as I am having the same issue.

Also Volvo has sensors in the steering column as well sometimes they need to be calibrated, also I found mine had a few clean A few times.

Ok, so without sounding stupid, how do you get the connector blocks to come apart. I slid the red tab but can not get them to separate. I didn't want to be too forceful incase I broke it. Is there a trick?.

I miss read my fault code...I've got mid 136 sid 3 fmi 4
added a 9 to the sid...stupid me. -
SID 3 is left rear sensor, FMI 4 is typically low voltage or shorted to ground. Look for chaffed wiring to the left drive axle wheel speed sensor. Look for signs of corrosion at plugs for that sensor.
You want to measure ohms from each sensor pin to ground, they should be open. From pin to pin it should be 900-2000 ohms for Wabco or 1500-2500 ohms for Bendix.v6killer and TheEnglishMan Thank this. -
I got the same problem, but have no idea how to unplug it, don't want to break it,
Could someone tell me how to separate the plugs
Thanks -
Pull out the little red thinggy, and pull the conector apart, I have the sid 96 code, have had for a while, I tool the connector apart and found one of the female terminals was kinda green. I scraped it with a pick and cleaned it up and put some electrical grease on it and the code still pops up. Probably have to replace the pin conector in question.
