You thought we were kidding about tracking someone down? :biggrin_2554: If you make the mistake of letting me know what your truck looks like and I know about where you are supposed to be, there is a good chance that I can find you.......Remember that .....(insert wicked laugh here):dmage:

I know what fuel stops to use that aren't time stamped, so there's that. I do have to match up my tolls but I often run around the tolls...the extra pain in the arse is worth not being time stamped on my logs. I realize that my duplicity would really only survive a first and second glance but if I was in a situation in which the Leo's are really gonna dig into my logs I'm probably toast anyways.

All that being said...I do understand the point many make that it takes a lot of the guesswork out of driving legal. I treat my logs like I treat my taxes...I understand the need for the regulations but I'm gonna do everything I possibly can to make it work in my favor. Too many dbag variables to make it make sense legally, like waiting three hours to get loaded cuz the workers are having a bday party, or a five hour offload cuz the broker screwed up my appointment. Much like the extra taxes I pay if I'm not paying attention, those hours are hours I'll never get back. And I tend to believe that my time is more important than some dang bday party.

Total mileage on route divided by speed limit on route equals my time on logs. Fifteen minutes for load, unload, fuel, and post trip. Flag pre trip but no time off clock. No muss no fuss everybody's happy and I don't get my feathers ruffled by wasted time at the dock.

Exactly! A common sense approach to trucking! That is the point passport and I were making with the elogs....there are things that you can do that are more favorable to your paycheck. The way the system is rigged and with the current economic outlook, knowing these things is a must (paper or elogs)!

And don't worry, scott .....I like you!:biggrin_25525:......What color did you say your truck was again?
