Well as for now I will be off the road 2 to 5 weeks. Our batalllion got called up for State Active Duty. Last Wednesday I get a call from my readiness NCO. He was saying that we got a 72hr warning order. I then called my platoon Sgt and told him I was on the road.( I had a load headed up to NJ. I was in Kenly,Nc doing my 10 hr reset.)

I explain to him I was headed to NJ and I had a 1000 appt on Friday, he told me too keep moving. Well, the next morning I get a call and was told to report to the Armory at 0800 Friday. I had already started to drive and was in Va, when I got the call.

I had already notified SNI that Wednesday when I got the 72 hr warno. I then call Thursday morning to let my DBL know I got activated. She had me to relay my load to the Norfolk yard and pull all my loads. I did not get charge for the relay. Lol

The last 4 days been a face pace shoot from the hip operation. There is still a lot of water here. We did use our 20 ton dumps too help out with the water treatment plant. They were about too run out of water here in Columbia, Sc. We were dumping over the bridge. We were running 18 hr non stop mission. The people have been good to us, bringing us food and water.

This is my 1st SAD, been deployed 3 times. This is a little bit diffrent. I keep reaching for my rifle. Lol
