I'm sure the OP would describe the way he quit as "pretty", not "ugly".

Two months, and every other gig trucking and non-trucking I've given at least a year. That's how bad Knight is.

Wow 2 months isn't a lot of time for them to see how you work and Atleast a year isn't even a full year to any of your jobs

If they did not outright lie about the job. I would still be with them. They offered L.A ports to Vegas RT for 1k a week. They never came close to honoring their commitment. If it was the other side and an employee did not meet minimum expectations after two months they would be fired. I see the employee-employer relationship as a two way street. If the employer has the right to fire you for not meeting expectations you have the right to quit after the employer fails to deliver on their offer.

Wow, a whole 2 months. Been on the refrigerated side for 5 years now. Sitting just a tad under 110k miles for the year. On a Boise, ID to Shawnie, KS. then planned on a Kansas city, KS. to Eugene, OR. Got to love dem short hauls.

Did you go into the yard and actually try to fix the issues? Communication is key to any relationship if you don't talk things can't be fixed that seems more like the issue then that they lied too you. Usually before a employer fires you they talk to you about the issues at hand

I did plenty of times and they ignored me. I even tried another division within knight and it wasn't any better. I will do anything sort of kickbacks to resolve a bad situation but there was no opportunity with Knight. When there is a thousand better opportunities on the table in today's climate that Knight could never compete with, go with the better opportunity.
