I know I'm not the norm and I could probably do a little better on Choice, but the risk reward just hasn't been there for me.
There are lots of you who are doing well with the love/hate relationship that is Choice, but most ICs.I meet in the real world would make more working the same number of days as a company driver. Continuing to take risks without adequate reward just doesn't make sense to me.TennMan, 91B20H8, scythe08 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Choice is not for everyone, but everyone try to make its Choice. People get caught up in all the revenue numbers. They fail to realize the new smell will fade fast. This is a daily grind.

I know a couple of guys on choice they say you have to get in find the rythem and be fast on the keys. Basically know what's comeing up and when before it shows up.

Here's one where a dude literary says an O/O job paid by the mile at $1.06 including FSC that he makes "good money"... yes at that rate.

There's drivers out there that are cool with running at a dollar and I'm sure it's the same here as well.
It's a scary thought at least for me. -

Yeah couple weeks ago I grabbed the company car in Dallas and they asked me to drop a trainee off at the hotel who just got off his trainer's truck. We had a nice chat especially when he found out I ran on Choice. He told me that's what he wants to do as he heard he could make "as much as a dollar a mile". I did tell him why that wasn't good money and all the factors that go into running a truck but obviously as a newbie I'm sure it didn't absorb completely. But it's just an example of why people run low rates.
Then you have mileage lease programs with threads where the drivers are actually hoping fuel prices continue to go up because the FSC is too low.
