Pay special attention to the "Payscale" section....They say, and I quote-

    "
First-year drivers can make as much as $30,000, depending upon which affiliate you work for and the type of freight hauled.

    As much as $30,000??!?!?

That $30K is the local stuff, mainly cement. The good pay is with CTL division running OTR which is lots of Texas & Florida, Georgia, Carolinas. That division pays for CDL school too.

I worked for Comcar for 11 years at the WSE side. The WSE part was great when I started, then they started pecking away. Every week was a new company reg that ended up costing you. If you live in Florida and want a trainer company to start with, then yes CCC would probably work for you but I can't recommend them with a clear conscious. When Guy Bostic ran the show, it was much different. There are worse places to work but far better as well. If you ask why I stayed so long if it was so bad, I'll say this, it wasn't bad for several years. Then it just started a downward trend. They did everything they could to recruit students and nothing to retain experienced drivers. I always figured that all companies were basically the same and jumping from one to another was pointless until I left. Then I realized I really didn't need to be treated so badly. I left 7 years ago, haven't looked back. I can also say that they shut down WSE a couple years ago. Unless they've done major improvements, they're a good place to get a year's experience and get gone.
