Heres a video from Florida describing how the scales work. Too many drivers cant follow simple instructions. The other day I was behind a crst truck and we ended up in a shouting match right there at the scale because they cant follow directions. If it says maintain a certain speed and space in front of you, then do it. This video explains why you should. Dont go 15 in a 35 and your thinking your being safe by slowing down. Eff that. Follow what the scale signs tell you to do. Better yet, quit your dam job

Interesting video, for the first couple minutes at least. I'll watch the rest later.
But, you're right. Read the signs, people. And that goes for more than just a scale.Upright Thanks this. -
Don't get me started on the drivers that stop on the scale when the signs say "do not stop"
Upright, Straight Stacks, KB3MMX and 1 other person Thank this. -
i remember rolling through GA and FL scales for the first time. Not knowing the procedure and the bypass system.
I did it 15 mph.
Cuz you know. Not ALL of us are daily drivers like the OP. And are used to the other 46 states, where the speed is 15 or less. NOT 35 in Ga and 40 in Fl.
I should probably post a video of all of you driving through the Utah Ports. Where the signs says "OPEN WHEN FLASHING" and the sign isn't flashing. And I'm the ONLY one NOT rolling through.
Regardless of the signs. Some drivers go through brain freeze on their first time through. Not every state operates with the same procedure as the other states.Marky84 Thanks this. -
Then there are the ones that do that at the toll booth.
Straight Stacks and truckon Thank this. -
I watched the whole video! Great info,I'm 4 months in to my cmv driving career and I learned a lot. Thank you
Upright Thanks this. -
I've found the toll booth operators prefer it that way.truckon and Cottonmouth85 Thank this.

Perhaps.
But I was referring to the lanes with no operator that collect the toll via a transponder.
Marky84 Thanks this. -
We don't have them fancy EZ Pass doohickeys. If we had that and Pike Pass (covers Oklahoma and Kansas) we'd never have to take a cash advance more than $50.Marky84 and lots of character Thank this.

Too much auto pilot and fear of 'The Law'. All it takes is the ability to read, people.
Upright Thanks this.
