Is tuition reimbursement to a third party school part of the contract? If so, the carrier will not make their payment to the school and you will be on the hook for the amount remaining on the financing contract, just like another other finance program. If the contract is part of a company provided in-house school, the penalties will be spelled out in the admissions contract and would likely activate full payment for services rendered either right away but no later than 90 days. The best advice is to read the fine print.

The big print makes the promises, the fine print takes them away.

If you agreed to drive for them for the purposes of getting your license, do you need a contract to keep you to your word?

I always thought that when a man agrees to terms and shakes hands on it, only a back stabbing liar needs a contract to keep them honest.

But thats just my opinion, my father raised me with self respect and dignity.

That's just silly. If you are willing to pay off the contract that's all that matters.

I don't know. I doubt they would change much for an early drop.

What's the story on your tuition; the company, etc.
Taking legal action probably means they sold the debt to a collection agency for pennies on the dollar. The collection agency will harass you in hopes you pay the full debt so they can make a profit.
