Don't dwell on it and just keep pushing forward. You'll get it.

Charleston. All about the setup. All about the setup. And finally, its all about the setup.

Hug the left line of the lane. Try and run on it if they let you. 20 feet before the end of the start lane...point the tractor to the right corner of the end of the lane, then turn it back to the center. The trailer will be pointed or "####ed" towards the offset lane.

Now...as you start back, pop your steering wheel right then back to center. Tractor will be center, trailer is headed offset.

The reason you do this is so when its time to get back "under your trailer" to finalize the manuever...

YOU NEED THE ROOM ON YOUR RIGHT. If your tractor is already there then your donecakes because of the storage building in your way.

Its easier than you think...but it requires thought and execution.

If you can pass in Illinois, you can pass anywhere.
Illinois DMV are freaking out since they were busted for selling CDL's a few years ago.
California just got caught selling CDL's, so now they'll go overboard at the DMV.

Chinatown, it's no different than anywhere else. Some might say that Missouri pre trip is overboard. DOT put new rules in place on July 1st, 2015. Now the skills is all backing. It use to be straight back, 45 degree alley dock and a right turn. For example, if you take your test in automatic, you get an "automatic only" restriction. In order to remove it you must take pre trip, skills and road test all over again.

    Chinatown Thanks this.
