Has anyone noticed that the flatbed loads pay has dropped a major amount of money a load use to pay from Newark nj to mass 1k and now they want to pay 625 for 48k pounds. Just really crazy out there rate wise I was going to get my own flatbed but now I see the rates really low it has me thinking there is no more money in flatbed.... But some say they are making money. Well I can't find it on 123 load boards...

I charge (more than those prices) for that. And I'm raising it (more) come jan 1.

I charge more if it isn't cheap lumber.

    Lol how what?

Customer calls texts me n says they have a load going to _____ out of _____ and asks if I can cover it. If I can I tell them which day I can pickup and which day I can deliver.
If I do it then I bill them. Then they mail me a check.

    Voila.

Gotta have direct customers to consistently make money. Broker loads are just fill in loads
