Totally spot on there...
We could bring our leased trucks elsewhere if we wanted to.
Unhappy with rates then lease your truck on elsewhere that you know has higher rates.
People beach about rates a lot.. myself included sometimes but when I see what going on at Mercer and Landstar I realize I ain't going anywhere.
If you hate trailer searches and being told what to do with your empty when you go out of service.. then hey go to a place like Mercer. Once you have your own trailer though kiss goodbye having open window appointments with drop and hook. While yes there's some trailer BS here to deal with we also get the value of working with a trailer pool and being able to drop a load and GO.. not always wait to be unloaded and etc. Time is money
At the end of the day this is a mega carrier, of course there's gonna be some BS.
They hold the deck of cards in this game though. Either it works for you or it doesn't
Don't do it!!!

The problem with this thinking is. ..
You have 70 hours to use up weekly driving a truck. Your gone away from home and family/friends and no life.
At home you could work 2 jobs, averaging roughly the same amount of hours, and make more money, and be home every day and have a life.nel4you and ramblingman Thank this. -
Please give the finger to all the lumpers at the grocery warehouses for me.
On a serious note...
You were really opened and honest with Schneider and us here. I really do respect that and you!
Don't see the kind of character often, especially in this industry.
Wish you all the best sir!91B20H8, scythe08, Repete86 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I'll be in the sleeper watching direct tv while the lumpers jerk each other offrickybobby and drvrtech77 Thank this.

Actually you screwed yourself over by doing something extremely dangerous and posting about it publicly.
SFI had nothing to do with it and SNI's policies are clear.
Even in my orientation class we were told SNI monitors social networking sites and "various online media", so be careful what you put online.
Now you're going to blame SNI for canning you? And just how did SFI screw you over? -
He already explained it awhile back. You was crushing poles, when he explained it.

Whatever, I'm well past it. I was tired of schneiders limited freight lanes anyway. And doing something "unsafe" is a matter of perspective. And if Schneider implements unsafe mobile notifications that drivers are obviously abusing who's fault is that?
If pulling over to the side of the road to book a load is unsafe then so be it. That's not a safe parking location. Regardless, I still think that my posts trashing the CEO Lofgren are what put the crosshairs on me.almostthere Thanks this.
