This isn't to bash brokers or carriers.
Typically we all like to present professionalism. Hello, my name is John with "company name" looking at your load/truck. Or whatever.
However there have got to be some memorable phone conversations with one another that led to "smart mouthing"
Here's my example;
TQL wanted my truck from Mass to Miami. They were only
Looking for a "quote". Frozen 40k pick Tuesday and deliver Thursday NIGHT. I quoted $5,000. Felt decency in me compared to what I really want. Instead of telling me "ok thank you will call of we can get that", the guy has a nerve to argue with me why I won't do it for less. I try to explain to him the cost, Florida market, timing and everything. But only thing he could do was say "hahah too bad we already got the load covered for half of your price"...
After I told him to call UHaul I said "I'll do it for $800".. He said "you'll do it for $800!?" And I saod " yeah right" and hung up. As they called i raised a $1,000 on the original quote per call. Finally when I found a decent guy calling me I asked him to look at our records. On time all the time, no issues ever. Then I asked him to either sign a paper I will send him or to give it to his upper management cause off the calls I felt harassed. The paper stated our contract is VOID, and we will no longer like to do any business with them. Any future phone calls from TQL can result to going to court.
He didn't want to sign it, few upper management wanted to resolve the issue, but nobody wanted to sign it. So I had to put them on block on all the phones.
Being a smart mouth...

Tql sucks. I won't haul for them. They call and seem rather proud of their 1.25 a mile load. I just laugh and hang up.

TQL prides it self in talking down to drivers.
I did not open my mouth last week once about TQL, and 3 drivers brought up the broker TQL and how they would never haul anything for them. One of them told me he was going to there office and beat the crap out of the the punk that he talked to,KB3MMX, spectacle13, Flipflops and 3 others Thank this. -
Sounds like whoever you talked to needs a swift kick in the pants. He will get what's coming to him eventually.
Flipflops Thanks this. -
Glad you stood your ground. These brokers think the bridge they're burning will never collapse...eventually they'll learn a lesson...which should involve swimming...cause there won't be a bridge left for them to walk back across.truckon, KB3MMX, 6wheeler and 1 other person Thank this.

Just tell as many others to not haul for them as much as you can and then they won't have any trucks to haul for them. They suuuuuuuuuuuuccccccccckkkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!! They kept calling me at all hours of the day until I started bashing them here and on Bulk Loads. Then they called and asked why I was bad mouthing their supposedly honorable company. I informed them that honorable companies keep their word and don't act like children when they don't get what they want. Totally Quirky Locos are just the best (NOT).
Flipflops Thanks this. -
Its up to drivers to collectively avoid groups like TQL
Once this happens , TQL will disappear.
They are a dreadful lot to say the least.
