Is this a fenced yard? (Sorry if I missed it in the OP). I would go with the guard dog idea.

What other employee will always great you with a smile no matter what the hour, lick your face and nuzzle your crotch, all while helping solve the problem!

    Fencing is not cheap.

Maybe you could fence just the truck storage area, barbed/razor wire and all... to keep the cost down.

I'll try and describe it better. I stuck a rubber piece around the edge of the fuel cap. If I remember right, I used that adhesive weather stripping.
I wrapped a bare wire around the cap on top of the weather stripping and connected it with insulated wire that ran down the back side of the tank to the ground, then across the lot to my shop.
If you looked you could see the wire, but in the dark and not suspecting it, I'm sure they just grabbed hold of the cap to give it a twist off and BANG!
If you've never been shocked by an electric cattle fence, you've missed one of the truely 'exciting' experiences of life.
It doesn't harm you, but it knocks you on your butt if you're not expecting it.
As for the ECM? No problems, but remember, the only bare wire was on the cap and it was insulated, so it wouldn't be a problem.

Thread just kind of ended there. I wonder what the OP did?

Why don't you buy some anti siphoning devices to instal in your fuel tanks?

I went in and ate at the TA in Foristell a few years back for about 45 minutes and came back to see half my fuel was gone. Parked at the front of the lot right next to the building and someone still managed to pull it off at 4:30 in the afternoon. Luckily I was a company driver ;-)
