I've got a question and someone who's going to orientation please help me understand....I'm sure you guys/gals and have read this thread...and followed fr8monkey....why in the world after reading not one but dozens of guys getting screwed over by eagle are you STILL going there? It hurts my head. Not trying to start anything, really...I'm just trying to figure out exactly what the appeal is?

Exactly. That's what I'm trying to say. Complete cold feet at this point. I don't wanna go to the alter to be sacrificed

I don't blame you, I'd be scared ####less after hearing all these horror stories, sounds like a new company that doesn't have there stuff working right, maybe one day or maybe they'll just grow into a successful Mega LP co. That screws drivers over
highwayman Thanks this. -
Remember, most of the guys that didn't make it are the one's who are posting their stories, the guys that are making money, keep quite, you don't hear from them, so to judge a company by the complaints of those who have failed, is crazy.
There are those on this thread who are scratching out a living, sure it's tough, trucking with any company is tough. Eagle has a lot of rough edges, they have a lot of things that need improvement on or changed, we all know that, but so do a lot of other so called ' good companies. ' If you don't like what they have to offer, then don't come, go where you think the grass is greener, in the meantime there are Eagles smiling and making money, while those who failed and complain, are writing their stories on this, and many other threads.BigGee Thanks this. -
Keep fighting the good fight fr8monkey, try that reefer freight, give it a good shot, if it doesn't work out, well you lasted longer than most, but let us know how it goes with the reefer, your OPs manager and some of the brokers that are getting you some good freight, at least pm the one's you trust, if you don't want to go public. We're pullin for ya.

I've tried to wArn people, right?!? Im not blowing smoke here....a lot of it's true but misunderstandings a lot ....usually by the contractor driver but not always.....I made my share of accusations ...but I'll stand by what I've said either thru my own ignorance and inexperience and admit I've been wrong at times, with the many facets of Eagles business model....I'll also stand by what I have said critically and those there are many in my opinion....it is just my opinion but by this point and time a much more experienced view than months ago....as for why im still here?!? I can't say really except im not an easy quitter I've been moderately successful even some weeks very successful, some weeks I really fxxked things up...but not from lack of trying....yeah it's WAY harder than I ever thought it would be and should be and most people unless really experienced and have a strong drive should stay away! But there is a certain rush especially after booking my own freight and knowing I kicked ###...is hard to beat.....it's all a learning experience and U gotta be patient for it to pay off.....im glad it seems there are others again willing contributing to this thread,lol....it almost died
I have never ever sad I thought eagle or celadon was trying to screw contractors or engaged in nefarious activities...but wow they don't make it easy and number one for celadon is the constant payroll mistakes...and for eagle trying to get good high paying freight for us...so I just came to th conclusion they do it to force the operator to book your own freight...I could be wrong and I like my lady ops mgr now, hope she sticks with it and me....stormy379, 85heepurai, T_TRUCKER. and 1 other person Thank this. -

-
I'll get 900.00 of that. I don't have a truck payment yet but I will still have insurance and Also Qualcomm. But it's a good start.
