Yeah I'm hoping dispite my ops mgr opinion reefer will do well as flats do I think she's full of it about reefer being same rates as van coz I see different especially in the Midwest

 

Hey fr8monkey does eagle offer orientation at there carlisle pa location or is it only in Indy? Im thinkin of giving this a shot. I only have myself to look after and thought this would be the best time to go for it whether i succeed or fail. I understand theres alot of growing pains yet with eagle and that concerns me. I have a good cushion of money put if things dont go as planned and am willing to hustle and give this my best effort. Worst case I will just walk away if i abslutely cant make it work and go back to my current job. Im looking to challenge myself and take it to next step. Do they offer used dry vans for less than $140 per week? I plan on staying in northeast or wherever money is at. I have a place right next to my house to leave my trailer when home. I already have relationship with jb hunt and they put up alot of good paying overflow freight in my area from what I hear. What is best load boards and do they show rates on these boards? Have you seen good freight in northeast? Thanks for any info

 

Im not sure of other orientation sites except maybe flatbed and im not sure it isn't anything more than securement training in Knoxville and Bennett wherever that is....it's good U have money saved up in lieu of good working knowledge of broker freight.....im still pulling a used celadon dry van but it's 160.00 but they take care of maintenance.....if u like the northeast U can make killer money after U know what U are doing! But it might take U awhile....staying in the northeast is ok.....coz its a huge hit to leave it...but going in and out can be good if u average is high enough....I use truckers edge with the rate lane package 59 and ask for Erika goo at truckers edge she will get U set up....jb hunt is excellent and yes they do pay well....

 

Nice! Yeah it seems this program takes some gettin used too. Seems like your finding your groove lately and makin a good run at it...glad things are lookin up for u. Im glad the rates look good within northeast. Thanks for the info...im really planning on making the move after the holiday season.

 

Yeah, I think so too, been running reefers since 2002, and the one thing I notice is that I didn't sit still for long, only if I wanted to, people have to eat.

 

I see Swift settled with that owner op. whose foot was ran over by one of their trailers he was working on.

 

hey you still work for eagle logistics? are you making money? im coming on running flats.....is it best to get a used truck or new?

 

I have been doing flat with eagle for a few days now. I like it a lot. And I love the freedom to book my own loads. I'm delv in Madison tn today. Already have me a load I booked myself picking up today delv Tom near my house gonna stop in for the night and get the rest of my equipment. Load is paying 680.00 to go 341 miles.

 

Last trip thru Colorado for me this year outside of rifle heading east bound and down yeehaw!!!
