It's an illegal drug , its use is prohibited , I'll look for some evidence to prove my point. If I find none , I'll stand humbly corrected But , I think you and I agree more here than we disagree on its use in the context of trucking. Thanks for remaining very respectful and civil. I appreciate that a bunch. Hope that I been the same from my end.

So you would just leave it in the truck with you while doing your run? Though unlikely, that could affect you directly.

When you get in your assigned truck and find that it is now your problem. Most of us don't like to be a 'rat' but there are times when it's called for. I think this was one of those times.

While I agree with your sentiment.. you we could innact the death penalty for first offense DUI and people will still do it. There is no rationalization for how the mind works when under the influence.

I'm not innocent... wont say I have never drank and drove, been high as Godzilla and cruised the blvd all night. Course I was 23 the last time I did that.

I have never driven commercially and been even the slightest bit intoxicated, hung over.. nodda. I always make sure I maintain a professional work ethic when I am on the job.

Stat... 28 killed daily as a result of drunk drivers. That is over 10 k a year. Above 50% of those tested positive for other drugs also. Pot being the most. So yes , marijuana has played a part in the death of 10 of thousands of people. http://www.madd.org/statistics/

Get caught with the pound of dope the dummy also forgot under the bunk or in a side locker or hidden somewhere else on the truck, you are going to be in Federal Prison.

    Your call.

    Thanks for that stat HardRoc.
Even if it helps prove a point I was trying to make. I wish that it wasn't so.

I dont think most dopers would "forget" about a pound of dope and leave it behind

I have an open Question to anyone who thinks marijuana is so bad, have you ever tried it? What is your judgment based on? I ask because everyone I have met that is strongly anti weed has never tried it. And everyone that I know that admit to using is the past say that they don't think it is any worse than alcohol. Does this show anything?
