Will this whole trailer shuffle be to try and get trailers repositioned and not have trailers sitting in bad areas or isn't just a company screw you feast
-
I believe it's to force ic to cover cost of moving empties by us either doing the move or pay 250.00
Drifter42, rickybobby, clyde garland and 1 other person Thank this. -
I mostly don't play along and have yet to be fined.
However on those loads it's been less than 100 miles apart so they can kiss my behind.
Over 100 miles deadhead I guess I could be their beach now but haven't had that situation yet. -
In the last two days I have had to have four loads put back to the way I booked them. Now they have changed another one for tomorrow morning to again BT out and go find a trailer at another location.
This is getting to be unreal. -
If Schneider wants me to bobtail to my next load.. okay fine I don't pick up an empty and I'll go there.
Not hey pick up an empty and bring it to a different customer out of route cause they need one.
Nope always refused that game and still will, unless if my next load involves 100+ deadhead I'm screwed now I guess. -
People can say what they want about" Oh it's the holiday season coming up" or whatever, but we had holidays last year and I don't remember any of this going on.
-
Hell I think I picked a load over 100 miles maybe 3 or 4 times in the last month and that has been no problem. I had to go somewhere else to get an mt picking up in the same town I delivered in and the customer I delivered to had mt's, not many but they had them.
TennMan Thanks this. -
Some folks can get away with that, some can't.TennMan Thanks this.

Recently I had an assignment changed to NOT pick up an empty at a delivery site.. at a customer that does NOT ship loads with Schneider. It was a reefer shipment place that needed pallets which was the load I dropped.
Even though they had an empty Schneider requested me go bobtail to a place that was a shipper and was low on empties to get one, guard had to get approval from management to release one to me.
Yup Schneider thought that was a better move
I only did it because it was in route and I didn't want the empty POS 94 trailer sitting at my last customer.
As far as "getting away with it" most often I'm just doing the assignment that I booked and agreed to so I don't find myself getting away with anything. Schneider is the one trying to get away with things with some of the silly things they try to tack onto us at the last moment.
