i never saw the stability out of operations for me to lease. I'm pulling tanker now on a dedicated account and it's working out well. Although having a breakdown after hours is a bad joke here as well. Fortunatly i have only had one of those........ so far

Been longtime since on here . Lease completed Nov 8 looking forward to it .!1st time i ever leased. Overall experience its been a fair handshake . I honestly didnt make more than the avg company driver, I avg 33K 1st yr 32K 2nd yr, 33K 3rd yr . So far in 2015 after taxes maybe 33K .

I tried everything in the book to get my income up. Including paying all fuel expenses for a week out of my pocket. I still only made x amount for the week. Same as every week 1100.00 avg. Take before taxes. Personally I think they monitor your revenue so that they as a company can spread the wealth around, and with that said its a fair handshake . You might not like your share of the pie but atleast you got your piece.

Alot of people think lease programs are designed to screw you , well maybe some are this lease is fair. Act is gonna do what they have to in order to make there programs successful its really in there best interest to do so In order to keep operating cost down so they can pass the saving off the the customer. So micro management is key to that success and that how you gotta approach your business as well . No brainer .

I started out this lease with money in savings and told myself if i dip into it im going backwards and refused to do so. In the end i came out of this lease with exactly the same amount after the buyout. So i ended up with the truck saving untouched. It can be done planning ahead and preventive Maintenance are essential . You got the money in maint account find something to spend it on.

I have lost a Cam (due to lack of oil changes 35000 is insane)now i do every 14000. Lost a turbo (warranty). Always Idle for 10min before shut down, helps prevent bearing from cooking the oil on the turbo bearings leads to bearing wear. Clean oil helps to cool a turbo faster. Rearend(warranty)Egr cooler 6 months after i started lease(warranty) DPF filter 3200(no warranty) Clutch 2726.00(no warranty). There are alot of sensors you can change yourself saving you a ton of money but its important to educate yourself first some require ecm to be recalibrated to reset DPF Timing for Regens. I spent on avg 11000.00 every yr on maintenance based on 100000mi yr thats .11cents. So i recommend a truck with extremely low miles to start a lease my truck had 247,000 im currently at 726,000 and a total of 15000 engine hrs (apu is key with these egr engine). So im basically knocking on the door for an in frame .
I decided to Finance the buyout on the truck keep that money along with my savings and invest in a Rebuild . 18650.00 I got the money to do it but i think I just might shoot for a new motor 31,000.00 7000 labor with the new engine. We shall see how far we can push the envelope . The new engine will increase the value if i decide to trade . Inframe not so much depending if you private sale.

With the lease completed there wont be anymore maintenance coming out (avg 150 week) or truck payments so saving up will be easier obviously to hit my next goal. most of you are probably wondering if i would do it again with ACT .Answer is YES but with a truck with lower miles to start ,really low miles like less than 200,000 . I strongly recommend extending any warranty before the 500,000 mi mark after 500,000 the extended warranties are extremely high do to risk of failure thats with any motor.
So there you go if you have any questions or advise shoot me a msg.

Before I close out wanna thank BIGKID2 for pushing me to do this lease . He kept me informed why he was here I kept putting it off for a total of a Yr . His post convinced me to do this lease . Im glad i made it this far .So big thanks to him.

Left ACT in Febuary 2016 Leased my Trk with a Shipper that has there own fleet as well. They mostly make plastics for PG Pepsi 7up and a slew of others .
Working out great .Dont have to deal with brokers . Basically pull freight from shipper to customer no middle man. Loads pay 1.50 2.00 3.00 up to 4.00 mi. 99% of there loads are under 8000 lbs 80% drop hook. Very driver friendly freight So far im avg 1.31 take home on total odometer miles i have ran after fuel . expenses. Home almost every night. Looking forward to banking some cash buying new fitzgerald by next yr.
ACT made this possible by completing there lease program. So look into it . It can be done
When you drive 171mi for 600.00 life is so much better. And when there is a return for 600.00 more thats a free lunch all day.
